Zoom
Zoom is a very helpful tool meant to help people connect in a professional manner from different locations. This video chat was a vital part of continuing my education during the pandemic. My whole class could login, despite being in different locations and even states, and watch a lecture from our professor. Companies even went as far as having job interviews on zoom instead of having people come in. Although, for the most part the hardest part of covid has passed, people are still relying on zoom to help them stay connected with friends, family, teachers, and potential employers.
Zoom offered so much more than educational purposes for me and my family though. As my grandmother was one of 9 children, who have all moved around the country with family it can be hard to see them all the time. Zoom allowed my family to connect with our aunts and uncles while keeping a safe distance from them, and even after covid just gives us the resources to stay in touch. This virtual conference room is great for any kind of group that needs to meet for any reason, professional or not.
With Zoom having a big part in my educational career, it has been a great tool in which I am able to communicate with my professors and peers. Even if it means communicating from a distance, being able to virtually engage when questions arise are a great advantage. As virtual meetings have become a new norm, especially after the pandemic, it is not uncommon for someone to use this tool as a form of communication. With Zoom, anyone is able to hold meetings of all types - which is a part of the great flexibility that this tool offers.
ReplyDeleteSince my last years of high school was Zoom, I know it all too well. But I do think that zoom is great for any kind of profession, it connects so many people together and the different features such as breakout rooms, and being able to chat with anyone, even private chats is really nice. The world of technology is growing and the use of Zoom has also grown into doctors appointments, meetings, classes etc. Not to mention how easy it is to navigate this app as well, which is a plus.
ReplyDeleteZoom definitely has a large impact on professions in present times, especially since the pandemic. It is an efficient way of connecting with peers, classmates, and coworkers when you are not able to meet in person. Even now, many companies still use zoom for meetings or even interviews and overall it is a very helpful tool for when meeting in person is not possible.
ReplyDeleteHello Danielle, Zoom was a huge part of student's lives during the pandemic. This is something that we have experienced for years now and still are today. A lot of classes now even at Stockton are virtual and meet on Zoom or they don't even meet at all. Before COVID this was not so common, unlike today. Zoom is still very popular today and is used also in the office and other jobs for meetings.
ReplyDeleteZoom has been a major feature in our lives during the pandemic. As a future healthcare provider, zoom is still going to be a major part of my career with Telehealth instead of having sick patient come into the office and spread a disease to others.
ReplyDeleteI also did my presentation on Zoom. It is a great platform to get school work done and have meetings in the professional world. It is very useful if another illness breaks out of if your patient or team member is sick and can't make it to their appointment or the meeting.
ReplyDeleteZoom is such a useful app that everyone uses! With my presentation for this class, I decided to use zoom to record myself while also using screen- sharing. Not only does it provide things like that, but you can hold meetings on zoom to talk to professors, students, or even a therapist! With my field in social work, this is a tool that would come to use when speaking with my clients!
ReplyDeleteThe percentage of schools, teachers, and students know using zoom since the outbreak of Covd truly sky rocketed. Since then Zoom remains to be a more popular and favored digital communications web tool that allows you to stay connected with friends, family, teachers, and even employeers. Any jobs, even criminal justice, or like my current position which I work for EMS, an interview was held on zoom.
ReplyDeleteZoom is one of the most popular conference call tools out there. I never used zoom until the pandemic started, but since the pandemic zoom took off. Even over three years after the start of the pandemic, Zoom is still widely used because it makes connecting with others very easy. Zoom is used in so many professions nowadays.

ReplyDeleteI really do enjoy zoom! It has played a pivotal role in transforming the way we communicate and collaborate, particularly in the context of remote work and virtual meetings. Its widespread adoption underscores the importance of accessible and efficient online communication tools.
I really enjoy Zoom but prefer Google Meet over it! I feel that this is an up and coming way for individuals to meet with one another in a large group or even when living far apart. I like using Zoom for the aspect of joining an informational meetings.
ReplyDeleteI've used Zoom before in the past, and I like it for how it lets you communicate with others through a more professional setting as well. This would be better for interviews as well, so a lot of people are accustomed to using it too, especially post-pandemic.
